Emery Cloth is the recommended paper for sanding out nicks in the bobbin, hook and throat plate area.  This sandpaper comes in strips and if you are sanding a hole see emery cord listing.

Emery Cord

Emery Cord is made to sand out scratches in a throat plate hole or down a channel where metal needs to be smoothed for the thread to pass by without snags. 1/2 yard.

This one inch collar is generally used in the rollers on quilting machines to hold the pole from slipping from left to right.
